Of No Particular Distinction
Changye is a son of House Shuveri, of the Xiao family. Though, he is seldom seen at court, and has spent much of his life elsewhere, outside of Tongzhi and away from the family estates. He's otherwise well-known as a quiet young man, reasonably well educated, yet reserved in company. Courteous without warmth, and difficult to draw into conversation unless there is something worth saying.

Those who spend any length of time around him have found that he keeps few companions, and has little taste for court gossip, though he is said to remember names and faces remarkably well. Like most men of his station, he has received instructions in the sword from a young age. Unlike most, he appears to have kept at it.

There is otherwise little of note attached to his name. He has held no important office, won no famous battles or duels, and made no great scandal of himself. Perhaps his most glaring strangeness is the frequency of how often he disappears from the limelight for weeks or months at a time. Not that anyone would have any reason to suspect, or even realize he was missing.

For a Shuveri, this mediocrity may be an accomplishment in itself.
